As the Executive Director for the McMinn County Economic Development Authority, Lindsey is responsible for new business recruitment and existing business retention and expansion programs. Lindsey is experienced in economic and community development focused on new business development in the commercial and manufacturing industries, existing business retention and expansion, and downtown redevelopment.
Lindsey is a graduate of Bryan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational management. She also obtained the designation of Tennessee Certified Economic Developer from the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services and is a graduate of Leadership McMinn.
Originally from Roane County, she is married to Todd Ferguson; and they have one daughter, Mila, and son, Tyler. The couple resides in Athens.
Executive Assistant & Workforce Coordinator
Kimberly Anderson is the Executive Assistant & Workforce Coordinator for the McMinn County Economic Development Authority. She is responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations of the office and leads our Your Skills. Your Future. McMinn initiative, a community awareness campaign for technical careers. Kimberly serves as the recording secretary for the McMinn County Economic Development Board of Directors and is the administrator of records for the Industrial Development Board of McMinn County. She is also responsible for leading several special projects for the McMinn County Economic Development Authority.
Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Wesleyan University, where she still currently works in the athletics department as the head cheerleading coach. She is currently pursing her Tennessee Certified Economic Developer designation from the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services, and will graduate in our Athens Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership McMinn Class of 2021.
Kimberly and her husband, Justin, reside in Englewood. Although Kimberly grew up in Monroe County, both her parents are McMinn County natives, and much of her family still reside here.
