There’s Never a Dull Moment in McMinn County!

Kickoff summer with the anticipated National MooFest! Sit back and enjoy the music and entertainment from three different stages while snacking on food from one of 200 diverse vendors. Other attractions include Mayfield Dairy Contests, local shopping and craft vendors. MooFest kicks off the Sounds of Summer at Market Park Pavilion.

Head to downtown Athens for Pumpkintown. Celebrate the new season of leaves and temperature changes with a group of friends, live music and diverse food from local vendors. Festive Pumpkintown activities include a Quilt Show, Pumpkin Plinko, Doggie Costume Contest, Historic Walking Tour and the Sounds of Summer Finale.

A seasonal favorite in McMinn County, the Sounds of Summer Music Festival offers free live music by local artists to the community at Market Park Pavilion in Historic Downtown Athens. Bring a lawn chair and a friend every Saturday evening in June and July for toe-tapping music and entertainment.

The McMinn County Expo Center is utilized multiple times during the year for events and celebrations, including numerous rodeos, The Smoky Mountain Dog Club Show and many 4-H events. 

Boasting of rich agriculture in Tennessee, the Market Park Farmers Market extends to the public from late June through October with locally grown produce, along with crafts created by resident artists.
