Midlab & The University of Tennessee College of Engineering wrap up International Lean Enterprise Summer Internship Program

Midlab was honored to participate with The University of Tennessee College of Engineering in their Lean Enterprise System Summer Program. “This program represents a part of our essence as we are constantly striving to share and put in practice our research while learning from everyday operations” states Enrique Marcias de Anda, Graduate Assistant at University of Tennessee. The five week project started in June and wrapped up July 29th, during which Team-41 spent their days working throughout the Midlab facility conducting interviews, time studies, spaghetti diagrams, while applying other Lean tools to propose an optimized facility layout. The final team proposal and recommendations exceeded our expectations! Midlab could not be more proud to work with UTK and an amazing group of talented individuals, all with a bright future ahead.
