Rollin on the River - Hidden Meadows Tour

This 10 acre lake was once the site in 1838 of a detainment camp that held 3,000 North Carolina Cherokees during the Trail of Tears Removal.  The Hidden Meadows contains an abundance of wildlife, crystal clear spring fed waters, and trees estimated to be 250 years old.  The site is reached from the Hiwassee via a series of tunnels and channels.  Participants must have an approved life vest and paddle.  A limited number of canoes and kayaks will be available along with life vests for those who do not have their own.
