As part of the Gems of the Past lecture series, Debbie Moore will present the documentary It’s Home: Memories of the Ducktown Basin, produced by Old Town Productions. This 58-minute film features historic footage, photographs, and interviews with residents who reflect on growing up and raising families in the Copper Basin.
Rather than focusing solely on mining operations, the documentary centers on everyday life in a small industrial town shaped by its landscape. Through personal memory and local storytelling, the film documents community traditions, work, recreation, and resilience in a place many still call home.
