Midlab, Inc., held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday to officially announce a $1.2 million expansion of its Athens facility.
Midlab is a leading manufacturer of cleaning products in the United States. The expansion will create up to four new immediate positions within the company with additional growth opportunities in the future.
The construction project began on Aug. 1, and is scheduled to be completed on Oct. 1. The installation of a digital label press and a web converting system will allow Midlab to provide improved packaging and labeling for its leading brands. The company is already working with current customers on redesigning packaging to take advantage of the new printing techniques.
