McMinn EDA Targeting Industries to Recruit

NIOTA - The knowledge gained through a series of brainstorming exercises led the McMinn County Economic Development Authority Board of Directors to identify several target industries to pursue for location in this area.
At the EDA retreat held Wednesday at Springbrook Golf & Country Club, Board members were led through an economic development overview and a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis by Tennessee Valley Authority Senior Consultant Millie Callaway. The end result of these activities was a group project to take this information and give Board members direction moving forward in its efforts to recruit new industry.
