The Industrial Development Board of McMinn County (IDB) has officially released a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking qualified contractors to complete perimeter fencing improvements at the Mayfield Dairy facility in Athens, Tennessee.
The project is part of a broader effort to enhance site security, improve access control, and support ongoing operational needs at one of the county’s key industrial facilities.
The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services needed to install a new industrial-grade perimeter fencing system. The improvements will define and secure the facility’s perimeter while accommodating both vehicular and pedestrian access points.
The project will also be designed to integrate with automated gate operators and electronic access control systems, either installed concurrently or in future phases.

The IDB invites proposals from experienced and licensed fencing contractors with a proven track record of working on industrial or secure-site projects. Submissions must include project experience, a detailed proposal, cost breakdown, schedule, and proof of insurance and bonding.

The IDB will evaluate proposals based on qualifications, experience, cost, and overall value, and reserves the right to negotiate or reject submissions as deemed in the best interest of the county.
